ABOUT THE POST
Lead Operational Excellence Across One of London's Most Diverse University
Estates
London Metropolitan University is seeking an exceptional Associate Director of
Estates (Operations) to play a pivotal leadership role within the Estates
Directorate.
Reporting to the Director of Estates, you will provide strategic and operational
leadership across Estates Operations, ensuring the University's campuses remain
safe, compliant, sustainable and fit to support world-class teaching, research
and student experience.
This is a significant leadership appointment responsible for operational
delivery across a complex and varied estate, leading multidisciplinary teams and
driving continuous improvement in service quality, compliance, customer
experience and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership across Estates Operations.
* Lead multidisciplinary operational teams.
* Drive operational performance, compliance and customer satisfaction.
* Oversee hard and soft FM services.
* Lead contractor and supplier performance.
* Ensure statutory compliance across the estate.
* Manage significant operational budgets.
* Support sustainability and decarbonisation objectives.
* Deliver operational efficiencies and continuous improvement.
* Work collaboratively with senior stakeholders across the University.
ABOUT YOU
We are seeking an experienced estates professional with:
* Significant leadership experience within complex estates or facilities
environments.
* Strong operational, commercial and financial management skills.
* Extensive knowledge of statutory compliance and Health & Safety.
* Experience managing large contracts and outsourced service providers.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* A collaborative leadership style with the ability to inspire high-performing
teams.
