Job ID:44135 Location:Birmingham : 1 Trinity Park : Bi   Position Category:Assessors Position Type:Employee Regular Join a Leading Global Assurance Business We are looking for an experienced Seafood Auditor to join our growing Seafood team in Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional with strong seafood sector knowledge and hands-on auditing experience to support the delivery of a range of seafood assurance programmes. The successful candidate will primarily deliver audits against UK Domestic seafood schemes and MSC Chain of Custody (CoC) standards, working closely with fishing, processing, wholesale, distribution and retail organisations throughout Scotland.   Key Responsibilities • Conduct audits against domestic seafood assurance schemes and MSC Chain of Custody requirements. • Plan, prepare and deliver audits in line with accreditation and scheme requirements. • Produce high-quality audit reports and technical documentation within agreed timescales. • Assess client compliance and identify areas for improvement. • Maintain technical competence and knowledge of seafood industry developments. • Build strong professional relationships with clients while maintaining auditor independence and impartiality. • Support business growth through professional client engagement and identification of opportunities.   Essential Requirements • Proven experience auditing within the seafood industry. • Demonstrable experience conducting MSC Chain of Custody (CoC) audits. • Strong understanding of seafood supply chains, traceability and chain of custody principles. • Practical knowledge of seafood processing, handling, storage and distribution operations. • Auditor qualification or experience against recognised management system or product certification standards. • Excellent report-writing and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and manage a varied audit schedule. • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout Scotland.   Desirable • Experience auditing fisheries, aquaculture or seafood processing operations. • Knowledge of additional seafood assurance standards and schemes. • Degree or equivalent qualification in Fisheries Science, Food Science, Marine Biology or a related discipline. • Lead Auditor qualification.   What We Offer • Competitive salary and benefits package. • Flexible home-based working. • Ongoing technical training and professional development. • Opportunity to work with leading seafood businesses across Scotland and beyond. • A supportive and collaborative team environment within a global assurance organisation.   Apply Now If you are interested in a career in auditing and passionate about supporting sustainable and responsible seafood supply chains, we would like to hear from you.While experience within the seafood sector is required for this role, actual auditing experience is desirable but not essential.    At LRQA, we belive that as a leading Global Leading Assurance and Risk Management Service provider, our talented people are our risk management advantage.
