We are looking for a commercially minded Head of FP&A to lead financial planning and analysis across our UK & Ireland business. In this key leadership role, you will partner closely with senior stakeholders to shape business strategy, provide actionable financial insights, enhance business performance, and support informed decision-making. You will play a pivotal role in driving forecasting and budgeting processes, identifying opportunities to improve profitability, and delivering the financial guidance needed to achieve sustainable growth and long-term business objectives.
What Will You Do?
Own end to end P&L overview of all channels, leading performance towards objectives with key stakeholders
Lead end-to-end sales and gross margin performance management across channels/brands, providing clear visibility on drivers and levers.
Partner with senior commercial stakeholders to challenge performance, identify risks/opportunities, and support delivery of financial objectives. Involvement in trading meetings / weekly performance trading reviews and month-end reviews.
Lead weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reporting and the monthly performance landing process across sales, gross margin, operating costs and profitability, translating results into clear executive narratives, variance analysis, risks, opportunities and recommended actions for senior leadership.
Own sales and margin budgeting and forecasting, building scenario models and improving forecast accuracy through driver-based planning.
Optimise promotional and discount strategies by modelling P&L impact, monitoring discount/markdown governance, and supporting pricing and negotiation decisions.
Partner with commercial teams on inventory, provisions, write-offs, stock risk, and demand planning assumptions.
Drive automation and standardisation of finance tools and reporting (e.g., product/promo performance tracking) to improve speed and quality of insight.
Lead the development of scalable management information, Power BI dashboards and self-serve reporting capability, improving data quality, consistency and insight across the business.

Experience & Skills ?
• Progressive finance experience, including significant FP&A, commercial finance and business partnering experience in a multi-channel retail, FMCG or consumer goods environment.
• Experience in Retail / FMCG or equivalent industry.
• Strong analytical skills with proven financial modelling capability; able to translate data into actionable insight.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, with strong experience using SAP, TM1 or equivalent planning tools, and Power BI or similar data visualisation platforms to improve planning, reporting and insight.
• Strong senior stakeholder management skills, with the credibility to influence, challenge and advise executive and functional leaders on financial performance, trade-offs and strategic decisions.
• High attention to detail; reliable delivery under time pressure with multiple priorities.
