The Role The Continuous Improvement Lead plays a key role in embedding a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and simplification across Canopius. Based in Manchester, the role focuses on working closely with operational teams, change delivery, and third‑party partners to identify, design, and implement sustainable improvements to processes, services, and ways of working.  The role combines hands‑on improvement delivery with capability building, supporting teams to adopt pragmatic Lean and continuous improvement approaches that improve efficiency, quality, consistency, and customer outcomes.  This is a hybrid role, working 2-3 days per week in our Manchester office    Responsibilities will include: • Build a Continuous Improvement community within Canopius and Framework to support • Promote a future‑focused mindset, encouraging experimentation, learning, and incremental improvement. • Lead six sigma training and certification process for Canopius employees • Identify and deliver service operational improvements  in operations through employing process improvement methodologies and the application of innovative thinking  • Delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within business processes and identification of improved ways of working, including the use of data and technology assets   • Build and maintain repository of processes for the organisation with agreed business owners and KPIs/Measures as appropriate. • Ensure right control and quality framework is in place for the effectiveness of a process   • Work with the Change Integration Lead to secure appropriate business sponsorship for the initiatives and track through associated benefits   • And other ad hoc duties as required.    Skills and Experience: • Have extensive experience of leading and delivering lean, managed processes within a regulated service environment   • Have deep understanding of Lean Six Sigma (e.g. Blackbelt in Six Sigma) or other continuous improvement methodologies and their application   • Strong process analysis and problem‑solving capability, with the ability to move from insight to action • Have experience of working within a project and or agile environment with an understanding of the fundamentals of project management principles   • Excellent communication skills   • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at every level within the business   • Ability to work independently   • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – solution focused   • Insurance domain knowledge preferred but not essential     Our benefits We offer all employees a comprehensive benefits package that focuses on their whole wellbeing.
