Learn more at geniussports.com THE ROLE: We are seeking an experienced individual for the role of Regional Financial Controller • UK. This is a challenging and demanding leadership role with responsibility for timely and accurate monthly reporting, and filing of statutory accounts for UK companies within the Genius Sports Group. Reports directly to the Head of Management Reporting Leadership and development of UK financial accounting team Production of statutory reporting (for UK based subsidiaries) Responsible for cost reporting and relevant analysis on monthly basis Working with FP&A team understanding variances to budget and forecasts Review of Monthly P&Ls, Balance sheets and supporting information Review and certification of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations Improvements in Finance Processes and automation where possible Working with Internal Audit to ensure SOX compliance Supporting External Reporting team in US GAAP reporting Ensuring accounting is in line with required GAAP and Group policy Working closely with External auditors with view to simplifying annual audits Responsible for UK VAT reconciliation and preparation of VAT returns Development of team Workday Financials skills / reduction in reliance on Excel Short term cashflow forecasting Other Ad hoc work as initiated or required WHAT YOU’LL BRING: Professional accounting qualification is essential Outstanding team development and leadership qualities Experience of both revenue and cost analysis Experience of cashflow management Business partnering Building strong working relationships outside and inside of Finance Desire to learn and utilise Workday Financials to the full Reporting standardisation Commercial focus Resilience and a drive for results Commitment to collaboration and communication Decision making based on business outcomes Setting the standard for excellence Detailed, organised and flexible Excellent technical accounting skills IT WILL BE A BONUS IF YOU KNOW: Workday Financials Certifed We enjoy an ‘office-first’ culture and maximize opportunities to collaborate, connect and learn together.
