Required skills and experience:
• Previous experience leading and developing remote or field-based teams,
ideally within the oil & gas, energy, or testing, inspection and
certification sector.
• Degree qualified in a scientific discipline, or equivalent relevant industry
experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of chemical and/or microbiological oilfield
analysis.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop
diverse technical teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational, planning, and time management abilities.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other business management systems.
• Flexible approach to working hours and operational requirements.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Project Coordinator, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and
delivery of field projects, ensuring the right people, equipment, and resources
are in place to meet client needs. Working closely with operational teams, Key
Account Managers, and clients, you'll drive service excellence, support business
growth, and help deliver Intertek's Total Quality Assurance promise.
Key activities:
• Coordinate the successful delivery of offshore and onshore field projects,
ensuring appropriate personnel, equipment, cylinders, and consumables are
available to meet client requirements.
• Ensure all personnel deployed to client sites are suitably trained,
competent, and compliant with offshore certification requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and support to resolve operational, equipment, or
analytical issues.
• Prepare and manage quotations, work scopes, and project documentation in line
with client requirements and company procedures.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to effectively plan resources and
deliver seamless client service.
• Manage project administration, including job registration, documentation,
reporting, expenses, billing, and invoicing.
• Review and issue technical reports following project completion.
• Monitor operational performance through KPIs, driving productivity,
efficiency, utilisation, and continuous improvement.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain strong relationships with
clients and key stakeholders.
• Identify and support opportunities to grow revenue through additional
products, services, and account development.
• Lead, develop, and support a team of field-based professionals, ensuring high
standards of performance, engagement, and capability.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, succession
planning, and employee development activities.
• Ensure effective communication and support for a remote workforce through
regular meetings, coaching, and feedback.
• Promote a high-performance culture aligned with Intertek's values, Total
Quality Assurance approach, and 10X behaviors.
• Undertake offshore and onshore site visits as required to support project
delivery, training, and client engagement.
