Maintenance • Ground Worker Location: Normanton, Wakefield Working hours: 38.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm Contract: Full-time, permanent Robertson Facilities Management (RFM) provides hard and soft FM services, grounds maintenance and energy services for single and multi-site locations throughout the UK. We work across sectors including education, healthcare, emergency services and commercial, assuring our customers of high-quality, best value and a sustainable approach. RFM has grown significantly since its inception in 1999, with a turnover of £181m for FY2025 and employs more than 1500 people. We are now on a growth trajectory, with ambitious plans to grow the business to £300m turnover by 20 30. Our plans for growth require RFM to ‘make the market’, and to be at the forefront of high value opportunities in the FM marketplace Your new role What you'll do: Undertake a range of groundworks tasks on site as directed by the Groundworker Supervisor including; tarmacking, concreting, drainage, gullies, kerbs, paths, flagging, and making good. To ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment, and tools. To always operate with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM. To provide support and assistance to other RFM personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services. What you'll need: Previous experience working in FM environment & site environment. Good understanding of H&S and SSOW. RASWA trained (desirable) NPOURS - mini-digger/plant (desirable) The ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate a methodical approach. Good communication skills. The ability to work as part of a team and under pressure. Dedication and ambition to develop within the role. Must hold full driving licence. Ability to work on own initiative. Ability to work safely at all times. Ability to work within a team. The successful candidate will require an Enhanced DBS Check before starting in the job.
