About the job Within the role of team manager, you will be responsible for ensuring we continue to provide “Outstanding” support for our children and families. You will part of a leadership team that has 'created a learning organisation that has effective and accountable relationships with each other and with partners' (Ofsted, 2025). You will be responsible for the leadership and management of a social work team(s) ensuring that vulnerable children and their families receive responsive services that safeguard and promote their welfare. This will include actively promoting and contributing to the strategic developments for children and their families in Walsall working with a restorative approach.  You will be responsible for Senior practitioners, social workers, NQSW’s and trainee social workers. As well as this, you will have full responsibility for the delivery of services to children, young people, their families and carers, in line with legislation, guidance and local policy and procedures.
