About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an existing staff member to join BICS as
a Senior Clinical Practitioner (CWP/MHST Supervisor) within our South Hub
multidisciplinary team, with potential for an additional role to become
available in another hub. This substantive post is currently being covered
through a secondment and will become permanent when the secondment ends in
January 20
27. As part of the wider multidisciplinary team, the post holder will
work collaboratively across the Child and Family Early Help hub along with their
BICS team colleagues, with a key role in providing supervision.
The successful candidate would provide clinical supervision and line management
to CWPs (Children and Young People’s Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners)
and/or EMHPs (Education Mental Health Practitioners) either in training and/or
qualified, as well as supporting the existing team in establishing strong
working relationships both with the schools in the borough and across community
settings. In addition, they will hold their own small clinical caseload and act
as a link practitioner for an agreed number of schools.
We would welcome applications from existing staff who have already completed the
Anna Freud Centre CWP/EMHP Supervisor training course awarded by Higher
Education England.

About you
You will play a key role in supporting the Clinical Manager of the MDT, ensuring
the effectiveness and efficiency of the service. You may be providing
supervision to EMHPs, CWPs and trainees, providing consultations to multi-agency
colleagues, supporting community initiatives such as developing and delivering
workshops, supporting the whole school approach as a link practitioner, having
your own clinical caseload of moderate presentations and supporting /
facilitating service initiatives within BICS. We strongly encourage applicants
from a CBT background to apply and would welcome applicants from a variety of
clinical backgrounds, including Clinical or Counselling Psychologists and CBT
Therapists, as well as those with experience of working within MHSTs/CWP
services.
You will also have a broad general and/or clinical knowledge base of Child
Development and Mental Health. You should be able to work as a team member and
to engage effectively with clients and staff across a range of contexts. You
will be able to plan and organise your work in the face of complex and competing
demands. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to work with people from
different backgrounds, cultures and of different ages.
You will have a positive
and proactive approach to their own continuing professional development and have
the capacity for reflective practice.
Professional Membership/Qualification
Essential
The post holder will have current UK professional registration where appropriate
to their profession.
