About Enterprise Strategy
Enterprise Strategy (ES) is the corporate strategy and internal consulting team
at American Express. We work closely with the CEO, Executive Committee, and
business leaders to solve complex business challenges and support decisions that
shape the future of the company.
How will you make an impact in this role?
As an Enterprise Strategy Analyst Intern, you will tackle the most important
strategic opportunities and challenges for American Express, working on a broad
range of topics across the business units. Projects are primarily oriented
around growth strategy to drive long-term success and innovation.
You will contribute to all aspects of project workstreams, including scoping and
structuring problems, conducting complex analyses and research, and creating
presentations. You’ll collaborate closely with your teammates to develop
solutions and present recommendations to senior leaders.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across the
enterprise, including C-suite executives, to drive strategic initiatives that
enhance the leadership position of American Express. You will establish yourself
as a trusted thought partner to your business partners.
As a member of the Enterprise Strategy team, you’ll join a close-knit and

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum qualifications
• Undergraduate degree
• Relevant coursework, internships, or extracurricular leadership experience
Preferred qualifications
• Strong problem-solving skills and business acumen; intellectual curiosity
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong project management skills, including prioritization, work planning,
execution discipline
• Interpersonal skills – ability to collaborate effectively in a team
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
