Job Description
The Role
This is a unique opportunity to support complex compliance projects as a member of a leading, global Monitoring Trustee practice, acting as the “eyes and ears” of competition authorities.
You will support the team responsible for overseeing the implementation of structural and/or behavioural remedies by large multinational companies. You will assist with the day-to-day delivery of work across multidisciplinary teams on a number of engagements.
You will work on high-profile cases, involving listed companies and competition authorities around the world.
What it's like to work as a Project Support Officer within the S&W Monitoring Trustee practice
You will support compliance projects concerning the implementation of remedies offered by parties in the context of merger, antitrust, and state aid proceedings, or other regulatory projects. This will include:
Undertaking new client take-on procedures. This will involve desk-based research and obtaining the relevant AML documentation;
Preparing timesheets, assisting with billing, and processing expense claims;
Conducting background research and reading on cases and/or clients;
Logging incoming files and correspondence in relevant project folders;
Taking minutes of relevant meetings;
Monitoring client queries and assisting the Monitoring Trustee team with resolving them effectively; and
Assisting with report and documentation QA, where required.
You will support client engagement activities as well as marketing and business development activities, including by:
Assisting the Monitoring Trustee team with prospective client presentations;
Making travel arrangements and preparing travel itineraries for the Monitoring Trustee senior team; and
Coordinating the logistics around multiple case teams; assisting with calendar management and room bookings.
You will contribute to the growth and global success of the practice by way of adhering to the S&W’s quality standards at all times.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience
Essential
Demonstrable experience in supporting the day-to-day management and delivery of projects.
Strong drafting skills, including in relation to: client correspondence, pre-meeting agendas, post-meeting notes and actions.
Strong organisational and task management skills, ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders of varying levels of seniority.
Skilled user of the MS Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and familiarity with AI-powered productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot).
A team player with a flexible approach to supporting colleagues and the work of the wider team and the organisation.
Self-motivated, reliable, and proactive.
Beneficial but not required
Experience supporting compliance, competition, or regulatory projects.
University degree.
Fluency in a second language.
