Title: Deputy General Manager
Location: King's Cross, London
Salary: Up to £40k
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am to 5.30pm

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy General Manager to join us at one of our highly prestigious contracts.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional who loves great food, exceptional service and creating memorable experiences. Working as a key part of the management team, you’ll help lead a talented team, ensuring our day-to-day catering and hospitality operation consistently delivers at its best.
Events will be an important part of the role, so we’re looking for someone with strong events management experience who is confident bringing together people, food and service to deliver seamless experiences from start to finish.
Job Description
As our Deputy General Manager your focus is to work closely with your teams to develop a great work relationship and together to provide the best customer service.
As well as having an excellent presentation, organisational and communication skills, you will be able to demonstrate a real passion for food & service and possess bags of enthusiasm.
Support the General Manager in delivering an outstanding catering and hospitality experience.
Lead, motivate and develop the team, creating a positive and high-performing working environment.
Take a visible, hands-on approach, supporting the operation during busy service periods and events.
Plan, coordinate and deliver a variety of events, ensuring they run smoothly from initial preparation through to delivery.
Maintain consistently high standards of food presentation, service and customer experience.
Build strong relationships with the client, customers and key stakeholders.
Support team training, development and performance, helping colleagues reach their full potential.
Support the commercial performance of the contract, identifying opportunities to drive sales and manage costs effectively.
Ensure excellent standards of cleanliness, food safety, health and safety and operational compliance.
Respond quickly and positively to changing operational requirements and customer needs.
Support continuous improvement, bringing new ideas and creativity to the catering, hospitality and events offer.
Qualifications
Previous management or supervisory experience within catering, hospitality or a similar fast-paced environment
Strong events management experience
A genuine passion for food, service and the customer experience
A visible, hands-on leadership style
The ability to inspire, motivate and develop a team
A commercial mindset and an eye for detail
Confidence building strong relationships with clients, customers and colleagues
The energy and flexibility to thrive in a varied hospitality environment
