Your role • Assess client needs and update support plans, signposting to education, training and employment opportunities • Support clients with managing finances and welfare benefits • Encourage social inclusion and help clients build confidence, resilience and self-esteem • Work with agencies on behalf of clients, promoting choice and acting as an advocate when needed • Promote safe working practices by completing risk assessments within legislative guidelines (This role is sometimes also referred to as Support Worker, Support Assistant, or Independent Living Assistant). Your skills • Experience supporting people affected by domestic abuse or working in supported living • Knowledge of housing management, including voids and arrears and health and safety of the building. • Understanding of occupancy agreements • Ability to stay calm under pressure and work on your own initiative • Empathetic and non-judgmental with strong interpersonal skills • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards • Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar) Your rewards You deserve more than the basics.
