Job Details
Do you have a catering qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent
as this is essential for this post.
In this catering post, you would be responsible for all activities in the
kitchen and it’s surrounds including cooking, organisation and supervision of
food service.
Supervising staff working in the kitchen.
You must be aware of HACCP procedures and ensure all paperwork is completed and
submitted according.
Understanding dietary and nutritional needs.
Duties may also include transporting and serving of meals, general kitchen and
dining room duties (for example washing up, setting up and clearing away
equipment and tables), cleaning of the kitchen and it’s surround.
We have permanent vacancies to join our team within:
Townhill Primary School, Dunfermline:
* 1 x Catering Supervisor, working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a 38
week term time only basis.
Dunfermline and surrounding area:
* 1 x Mobile Catering Supervisor, working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday
on a 38 week term time only basis, base should be at Pitreavie Primary School
however could change at a later date.
You will earn a competitive salary of £26,786.83 to £29,170.80 pro-rata and
annualised payments with access to a range of benefits, including:
* £14.27 per hour to start, plus extra payments for shift work, including
weekends.
• Pay is annualised for term time contracts (equal instalments every 4 week pay
period).
• Membership of Fife Pension Fund which is part of the Scottish Local
Government Pension Scheme (LGPS Scotland).
• Access to and support with a training opportunities and qualifications for
the job.

Training on in house systems will be provided. Working towards an Intermediate
Food Hygiene Certificate will be essential once in post.
The Person
Catering experience or a qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds or
equivalent is essential for this post.
Provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a team.
You will be required to attend an induction training day before starting in
post.
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection
of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and
become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
