Technical Business Analyst - UAT

About the Role: As the Technical Business Analyst – UAT, you will play a key role within a major transformation programme in the UK energy sector, connecting business needs with technology delivery and ensuring change delivers the right outcomes. Working across business, technology and delivery teams, you will lead requirements and analysis activities, bring clarity to complex business needs and translate these into well-defined technology requirements. You will also take a leading role in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring solutions are thoroughly validated, aligned to business expectations and ready for successful adoption. With significant stakeholder interaction, you will build trusted relationships across the programme, facilitate key discussions and provide the insight and challenge needed to support effective decision-making throughout the delivery lifecycle. As the Technical Business Analyst – UAT, you will: Lead requirements gathering, discovery and analysis across complex technology and business change initiatives. Facilitate workshops with business, technology and third-party stakeholders to understand requirements, processes and priorities. Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements and actionable technology deliverables. Produce process maps, impact assessments, business cases and solution options to support informed decision-making. Plan, coordinate and oversee UAT activity, including test preparation, execution, defect management and business sign-off. Ensure business stakeholders are effectively represented throughout solution design, testing and implementation. Support solution validation, business readiness and the successful adoption of change. Work across multiple stakeholder groups to manage dependencies, risks and competing priorities. Proven experience as a Business Analyst within technology-led transformation or change programmes. Demonstrable experience taking ownership of UAT, including planning, coordination, execution, defect management and business sign-off. Previous experience within the utilities, energy or infrastructure sector. Strong requirements gathering, process mapping and analytical skills. Experience translating complex business requirements into clear technology deliverables. Confidence working with senior business, technology, operational and third-party stakeholders. Strong workshop facilitation, communication and documentation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining an end-to-end view of business objectives, dependencies and risks. Sound judgement and the ability to work effectively within complex or evolving programme environments.
