Title: Business Analyst Location: Solihull An opportunity has arisen for a Business Analyst to join the team at Galliford Try within our Group Services business unit. As a Business Analyst within the Data, Analytics and Development team, you will play a key role in delivering digital projects that improve how the business operates. Acting as the bridge between stakeholders and technical teams, you will gather and analyse requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and help ensure solutions are successfully delivered across data, integration, application development, AI, and master data management initiatives. What you will be doing: • Engage with stakeholders across the business to understand challenges, opportunities and project requirements. • Gather, analyse and document business, functional and non-functional requirements. • Facilitate workshops, meetings and process reviews to define business needs and desired outcomes. • Analyse current business processes, systems and data flows to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. • Create user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps and other business analysis documentation. • Support the evaluation of solution options, considering business value, risks, costs, dependencies and benefits. • Build strong working relationships with business users, subject matter experts, suppliers and technical delivery teams. • Act as a key point of contact between stakeholders and development teams to ensure mutual understanding of requirements. • Support data, integration, application development and master data management projects throughout the delivery lifecycle. • Help prioritise requirements and maintain traceability from business need through to delivered solution. • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including planning test scenarios, engaging users and tracking outcomes. • Monitor and manage defects, ensuring solutions meet agreed business requirements. • Apply business analysis best practices and contribute to consistent project delivery standards. • Provide constructive challenge and recommendations to improve business processes and digital solutions About you: • Previous experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar business change, systems or process improvement role. • Strong analytical, problem-solving and requirements gathering skills. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the confidence to work across both business and technical teams. • Understanding of project delivery methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall or hybrid approaches, with experience supporting testing and change activities. • Organised, collaborative and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach and strong Microsoft 365 skills.
