As a Tech Risk Assurance Lead at JPMorganChase within Cybersecurity Technology &
Controls, you will help ensure the security and resilience of our systems and
data. You will focus on the identification, analysis, and management of
technology and cyber operational risks firmwide, leveraging your expertise in
technology risk and controls to identify, assess, and manage risks across
systems, evaluate control effectiveness, and ensure alignment with risk and
regulatory standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate
with cross-product and functional teams, stay abreast of the latest developments
in technology, and implement innovative solutions that enhance the
organization's risk posture.
Job responsibilities
• Lead and contribute to firmwide technology risk assessments across
applications, infrastructure, and platforms, applying established control and
assessment methodologies.
• Ensure effective identification, quantification, communication, and
management of technology risk, focusing on root cause analysis and resolution
recommendations.
• Develop and maintain robust relationships, becoming a trusted partner with
key stakeholders such as LOB BISO’s, assessments teams, and Control Domain
owners, to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and progress toward
shared goals.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation of risk assessments, findings, and
recommendations, ensuring accuracy and accessibility, and support findings
formalization and tracking to closure.
• Proactively monitor and evaluate control effectiveness, identify gaps, and
recommend enhancements to strengthen risk posture and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and advance analytics-driven assurance approaches for risk
identification, risk prioritization, mitigation planning, and control
assessment.
• Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to
accelerate synthesis of risk/control evidence and draft executive-ready
reporting, validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity and
security requirements.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Experience or equivalent expertise in technology risk management, information
security, or a related field, emphasizing risk identification, assessment,
and mitigation.
• Strong familiarity with technology systems and cyber/technology risk
management activities, including control effectiveness assessments,
reporting, and mitigation tracking, with the ability to translate technical
findings into clear business impacts.
• Technical proficiency in AI risk governance and data security, securing
platforms, applications, and business processes with understanding of AI
threats, mitigations, and defense mechanisms.
• Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to
support technology risk and controls workflows — validating AI-assisted
summaries and recommendations before use, escalating when uncertain, and
ensuring alignment to security, auditability, data sensitivity, and
regulatory expectations.
• Experience applying data analytics and data-driven approaches to risk
identification, control testing, and assurance.
• Demonstrated ability to influence executive-level strategic decision-making
and translate technology insights into business strategy for senior
executives.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• CISM, CRISC, CISSP, or similar industry-recognized risk and security
certifications are preferred.
• Familiarity with risk management frameworks, industry standards, and
financial industry regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
• Experience presenting risk findings or narratives in governance or senior
stakeholder forums.
