About us, and our mission:
Every day, thousands of people type their worst week at work into a search bar.
"Sacked while pregnant."
"Settlement agreement, should I sign."
"Boss cut my hours, what can I do."
Most of them never find proper help, because the firms that act for employees are outranked by content mills and claims farms.
Your job is to fix that: make Monaco Solicitors the answer people actually find.
The role:
Monaco Solicitors is a UK law firm that acts exclusively for employees, never employers. From settlement agreements to tribunal claims.
We publish more free, plain-English employment law guidance than anyone, and our founder literally wrote the book on settlement agreements.
What we don't yet have is someone who owns how all of that performs in online searches.
How our process works:
Apply with your CV and short answers to a few practical questions, they take about 20 minutes and they're how we shortlist, so they matter just as much as your CV.
We're an AI-native firm, and that includes how we hire: AI gives every application a fast, consistent first read, a human makes the judgement calls, and you can ask for a human review of any decision, just reply.
You'll hear from us in working hours, quickly. Every applicant gets an answer.
Our process: application and questions, a 20-minute call, a practical task using our real site (we'll tell you exactly what to expect), and a final conversation.
Salary is published above because we think you should know it before you spend time considering us and applying.
You will:
Own organic search end to end: technical health, content performance, rankings, and the measurements and reporting that proves it
Run the site audit, fix what's broken, and build the rank-tracking and attribution layer we need
Work daily with our editorial team, who produce genuinely good content at volume, your job is making it findable, not necessarily creating it
Turn an agreed set of priority searches into page-one positioning
Own off-page: earn and build authoritative backlinks, run digital PR, and keep our link profile clean and growing
Keep a live read on the competition: who outranks us on the searches that matter, what they are doing to hold those positions, and where the gaps are we can take
Report outcomes, not activity: traffic that becomes enquiries that become people helped
You'll report to our Marketing Manager, working alongside our content editor, whose existing engine you'll be pointing at the world, in a fully remote team that measures work by the direct impact on the firm.
What
you will need:
Evidence of a site that you materially moved, with the numbers to show it, and the story of how
Real fluency in the tools: Search Console, GA4, a crawler you trust, a rank tracker live in, and a backlink/competitor tool (Ahrefs, Semrush or similar)
Technical SEO depth and content-SEO judgement
Link-building and digital PR you can evidence: links you earned rather than bought, and what they moved
Competitor analysis instinct: you can look at whoever is above us and explain precisely why, then close the gap
Plain English, our whole brand is built on it, including internally
Comfort with AI in your workflow, and a clear view of where you do and don't trust it
Why this job:
A mission you can explain to your family: helping employees who are up against it get what they're owed
£35,000 - £45,000 per annum
Award-winning and genuinely different: Law Society Excellence Awards winner, employee-side only since the beginning
A content engine most SEOs would kill for, already built, already good, waiting to be discovered
Fully remote, small team, your work visible the week it happens
January 2027's employment law reforms will send demand for what we do through the roof. The people who'll need us are already searching. Help them find us first.
One more thing:
Right now, someone is lying awake rehearsing how to tell their family what happened at work today. At 2am they'll give up on sleep and type it into Google. What they find first, a claims farm, a content mill, or a law firm that only ever acts for people like them.
That is this job.
If you want your rankings to mean something beyond sales and vanity, Monaco Solicitors is the place for you.
