ABOUT THE ROLE
We are recruiting to one permanent full-time Faculty Administrator post. The
successful applicant will work across the Faculties of Health and Wellbeing and
Society and Culture, supporting Faculty Executive teams and academic colleagues
in various Schools.
This is a hybrid role, with regular time spent working on both City and Coach
Lane Campuses.
Reporting to the Faculty Operations Manager, you will work on a
day to day basis
with academic colleagues delivering a wide variety of administrative tasks such
as diary management, finance and resources activity, organising and supporting
meetings and events and ensuring processes for key business activities are
effectively and efficiently delivered. A team player with previous
administrative experience, you must be able to demonstrate strong planning and
organisational skills, the ability to use your initiative, and have experience
of introducing and maintaining effective and efficient admin systems. Excellent
communication skills, and the ability to work confidently in a fast paced,
customer focused environment with people at different levels in the
organisations are also essential.
As a Faculty Administrator, you will be able to effectively manage your time and
priorities in a busy customer focused environment.
You will deliver high-level responsive support to a Head of School or Associate
Pro Vice-Chancellor, provide direct support to the Faculty Executive team, and
reliable administrative assistance to academic colleagues in various Schools.

ABOUT THE TEAM
Reporting to the Faculty Operations Manager, you will work closely with a team
of Faculty Administrators and frequently liaise with academic colleagues and
other University services, for example, Human Resources, Finance and Shared
Services.

To be successful in the role you must be a team player with previous experience
in a fast paced, customer focused environment and be able to work confidently
with colleagues at different levels in the organisation. Excellent communication
and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently
and use your initiative to find solutions and solve problems.
