About the role:
In this role, we are looking for a Drainage Technician to carry out drainage and water main investigations, maintenance, and repairs at policyholder properties. You'll diagnose faults, clear blockages, complete CCTV surveys, trace drainage systems and leaks, and carry out minor excavation work where required. You'll work independently, delivering safe, efficient, and professional service while maintaining high standards of customer care and Health & Safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Leak Detection using acoustic equipment ideally be familiar with using HL 7000-Light-VS.
Leak detection via Tracer gas
Water main pipe repairs & renewals
Generate excellent on-site reports, our system will be iTouch.
Carry out drain unblocking using high-pressure water jetting equipment.
Conduct CCTV surveys of underground drainage systems.
Undertake drain track and trace activities at policyholder properties.
Carry out minor excavation and reinstatement activities where required.
Communicate professionally with policyholders, and members of the public.
Explain findings and recommended actions clearly.
Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
Ensure disruption to the policyholder is minimised during works.
Key Requirements:
Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 3 points.
Have Good technical knowledge to understand water networks
Experience in Leak detection both acoustic and tracer gas
Experience operating high-pressure water jetting equipment.
Ability to undertake CCTV drainage surveys.
Good customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage workload.
Good IT skills for report completion and mobile applications.
Willingness to work overtime and participate in out-of-hours call-out arrangements where required.
Experience working with insurance claims and policyholder properties.
